Aparna is a RYT200 certified passionate and dedicated yoga teacher. Her approach to yoga is to make it simultaneously accessible, challenging and transformative to all clients both as a physical practice as well as a holistic discipline. She loves teaching multiple styles of yoga including Power, Restorative, Yin and Stretch. Pranayama and yoga philosophy is an integral part of her classes and is woven seamlessly into the practice. She believes that yoga is a holistic practice that serves both the mind and the body and can be made accessible to everyone. She infuses her classes with creativity, fun and laughter and loves her yoga community. Aparna is originally from India but has lived in the US for the past 30 years. With an undergrad in Economics and an MBA degree she spent 20+ years in corporate America working in the reinsurance industry at an executive level. She enjoyed her work tremendously but ultimately chose to take an early retirement to obtain a better balance in her family life. This allowed her to pursue other passions like - yoga, running and traveling. She is an avid runner and loves combining her love for travel with running - training for races across the world. Although she had been practicing yoga for over a decade, her interest in the discipline was reignited as she pursued her teacher training. Her quest for soaking in more knowledge has led her to learning yoga beyond the physical asanas, Ayurveda, Pranayama and yoga philosophy. She is humbled by the amount of knowledge that exists in the discipline of yoga and knows that a lifetime will not be enough to soak it all in. When she is not pursuing her other passions, she is dedicated to her family - her daughter Mehr, her husband and her dog Brody. She approaches everything in her life with enthusiasm, positive energy and a curiosity to learn more.
