Donna began exploring yoga asanas as a form of exercise in her 20’s while living in Germany. She fell in love with the sense of well-being it gave her and the sense of community she felt in the classes. In 2002 she attended a NILD workshop while working on her PhD and was introduced to research exploring a yoga lifestyle and brain changes along with the intersection of yoga and education. This opened a whole new meaning for her as she began to study further into yoga. Through this study she began to explore Pilates and after years of practicing and referring yoga and Pilates to friends, family, and anyone who would listen, Donna decided to pursue mat Pilates training through Balanced Body and her Yoga Teacher Training, Children’s Teaching Certificate and her Ayurvedic Specialist Certificate through The Yoga & Ayurveda Yoga Center. Soon after she decided to add Aerial Teacher Training through Tejas Yoga Lab.
